Guardamar Golfing Holidays & Golf Courses close to Guardamar del Segura
Golf attracts many people to the Southern Costa Blanca and the area surrounding Guardamar del Segura is no exception. Our apartment in Guardamar is within driving distance of a superb range of top ranking golf courses. Many of the courses cater for those on holiday and as a result, unless you are in a large group, do not usually accept bookings more than seven days in advance.
With a degree of flexibility you will have no problem getting some green time with as little as one days notice, perfect for allowing you to plan your golfing holiday at short notice.
La Finca Algorfa Golf Club

Algorfa golf club is located at the base of Mount Escotera in the Alicante region. The course benefits from spectacular views and is only around 18 km from Guardamar del Segura and our holiday apartment. You could take breakfast on our sun terrace and be at one one of the best golf courses on the Costa Blanca within a few minutes.
Algorfa golf club was designed to host top golfing tournaments and has a diversity of greens of all sizes that make it one of the top courses on the Costa Blanca. Golfers playing a round at the Algorfa Golf Club can also benefit from the reserve hole. The reserve exists so that in the event of unexpected closure of one of the other holes players are still able to complete an 18 hole round. The present length is 6,394 metres with a 72 par but there are future plans to make this a 54-hole complex made up of 3 different golf courses to give you even greater variety.
The greens must be seen to be believed, undulating and different shapes, but true. Many golfers highly recommend that you play here, it is very tough and you MUST have your handicap certificate or membership card, or you will be turned away.
The other great beauty of Algorfa golf club is it's close proximity to Guardamar del Segura where after you have enjoyed a round or two of golf in picturesque rural surroundings you will able to make the most of some of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca, sailing clubs or the many other facilities just a few minutes drive away.
The Algorfa Golf club also includes a good club house, a golf shop which hires out golfing equipment, a driving range, putting greens, chipping area and a practice bunker.

Villamartin was founded in 1972 and is located near the Costa Blanca's Orihuela. Host to the Mediterranean open in 1994 it is undoubtedly one of the most well known golf courses in this area of Spain. It is a well designed 18 hole course which is sits mid range in difficulty and is approximately 6,132 metres with a 72 par.
Villamartin Golf Club has its own own clubhouse, pro shop, cafe, restaurant, swimming pool and even currency exchange. Other golfing facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green and practice area. You can also hire clubs, trolleys or buggies and practice balls or benefit from some golfing tuition. Villamartin is set in a beautiful rural area and is only around 31 km from Guardamar del Segura and our apartment.
Real Campoamor Golf Club

The Real Campoamor Golf Club opened in 1989 on the southern Costa Blanca and is built on a the grounds of a former country estate. It was originally designed by Carmelo Gracias Caselles to make the most of the unusual landscape surrounding the estate.
The 18 holes run between two connected valleys which help to make it one of the the most panoramic of the golf courses in the region. The expansive fairways, excellent greens and the lakes deceive the player somewhat, making this is a long and testing course to keep you on your toes.
The Real Campoamor Golf Club is is a good all round course for both the professional and the amateur player alike. There are a couple of short Par 4s and a good mix of par 3, 4, and 5's and hole 12.
Campoamor is an 18 hole 6,203 metre long course with a par of 72 and it benefits from the usual golfing facilities you would expect from a club of this type including, club and buggy hire, practice balls, golf lessons, pro shop, cafeteria and more. The distance from our apartment in Guardamar del Segura is approximately 25 km.
Alicante Golf Club

Alicante Golf Club has been open since 1998 and was designed by Severiano Ballesteros. Alicante Golf club borders the city and is only 800m from the popular San Juan beach and is known to be one of the best maintained golf courses in Spain.
There are six par 5s, six par 4s and six par 3s, on this golf course, which is a city course. There are ample flat fairways which are interspersed with water hazards and out of bounds, making this a good holiday golfing choice for the more careful player. The use of a buggy is recommended and can be hired from the club.
The additional facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker, on course WC, on course drinks, restaurant, snack bar, games room, sauna, gym, pro shop, buggy hire, club hire, trolley hire (electric and manual), golf classes and club repair.
Alicante Golf Club is an 18 hole course which is 6,236 metres and par 72. One point of interest is that in front of the 15th green lies the ruins of an ancient Roman Villa dating back to the 2nd century. Although slightly further than the other courses, at only 52 km from Guardamar del Segura this is still only a short trip out and well worth a visit if you have the time.

Las Ramblas Golf Club was designed by José Gancedo and opened in 1991, it sits next to Real Campoamor Golf Club and is located around 45km from our apartment in Guardamar del Segura, in the same region as Villamartin and La Finca golf clubs.
Las Ramblas Golf club shares the same owner as the Villamartin Golf Club, it is an 18 hole course which is 5914 metres in length and par 72, and is said to be the most difficult of the golf clubs in this area.
Additional facilities on offer from Las Ramblas include club hire, buggy hire, trolley hire, practice balls, tuition, a pro shop, cafe and restaurant, car park, driving range, putting green and approach zone.
La Marquesa Golf Club

La Marquesa Golf Club was designed by Justo Quesada Samper and opened in 1989. It is located on the urbanisation of Quesada which is only 7km from our apartment in Guardamar del Segura.
La Marquesa Golf Club is supposed to be a reasonably straight forward course for intermediate players as it sits between the mountains in a flat valley. It is an 18 hole course which is 5840 metres in length and par 72.
